Northern Europe is a truly spectacular region, teeming with picturesque cities, breathtaking landscapes, and a vibrant, rich culture. From stunning architectural masterpieces and charming medieval old towns, to colorful houses that dot the cities, there's always something to see and explore. And if that's not enough, the natural wonders of the region will take your breath away, with dramatic fjords, sparkling lakes, and the mesmerizing phenomenon of the Northern Lights.

My Trip

• 2023 March 10 to 18 (09 Days): I had the adventure of a lifetime exploring the winter wonderland of Northern Europe with some friends from Qatar visiting few Baltic and Scandinavian countries. We braved the extreme cold to witness the awe-inspiring northern lights and explore charming cities filled with history and culture. Our journey took us from Helsinki, Finland to nearby Tallinn and Parnu in Estonia, then to Riga in Latvia before heading north to the centre of Lapland, Rovaniemi, Santa's hometown. We even crossed the Arctic Circle and embarked on an unforgettable Arctic Icebreaker Cruise. Despite the chilly temperatures, we walked on frozen seas and floated on melted water, and spent an unforgettable night in modern glass igloo. Our next stop was Tromso, Norway, where we had a blast riding huskies and spotting the mesmerizing northern lights before returning home to Doha via Oslo, Norway, and Stockholm, Sweden.
